Berry and Flaxseed Smoothie for Optimal Hormone Health

Begin your day with this protein-rich smoothie, infused with flaxseeds and soy milk. It's a tasty way to introduce phytoestrogens, which can help alleviate common menopausal symptoms like hot flashes.

Berry and Flaxseed Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)

  • 1 banana

  • 1 tablespoon ground flaxseeds

  • 1 scoop plant-based protein powder (like pea or hemp protein)

  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds

  • 1 cup soy milk (higher in protein than almond milk)

  • Ice cubes (optional)

Directions:

  1. Place the mixed berries, banana, ground flaxseeds, plant-based protein powder, chia seeds, and soy milk into a blender.

  2. Blend until smooth. Add ice cubes if you prefer a colder drink.

  3. Pour into a glass and enjoy your high-protein, phytoestrogen-rich smoothie.

The added protein powder and chia seeds not only increase the protein content but also provide additional nutrients and texture. Soy milk is also a higher-protein alternative to almond milk.
